Pet Cemetery
Listen:
Many of us tend to personify our pets. We give them names, we talk to them, some even dress them up and feed them human food. So it's not surprising that we tend to mourn them as humans when they die. If you live in a city apartment, you can't give your pet a proper funeral in your backyard. Parisians can go to the Cimetiere des Chiens, north of the city. It's the oldest animal cemetery in the world. It opened its doors in 1899, and houses the remains of hundreds of beloved dogs, cats, birds and even horses. It's still very much in use today...
